People travel for business, pleasure or education. We travel to different places by car, train, boat, air or even of foot. Erlier people travelled on foot or horseback only. Animal-drawn carts also were used for going to places. Today travelling has become very easy. We can go to any place in a short time, without any difficulty.
The pleasures of travelling are many. We all want to know the unknown and to visit places of interest. We also like to see places of natural beauty. Travelling makes our mind broad and drives away the monotony in our lives. This is why travelling is very much a part of our education. When we visit places we learn about then, about their people and customs. The more we travel the more we learn about our world. It is said that travelling helps one discover himself.
But today, though travelling is easy and comfortavle, it is not cheap. We all want to travel. but for many of us it is a luxury that we cannot afford.

schoolmagazines
Every school has its own magazine. It is published once a year. The students of the school write in it and they edit it with the help of their teachers. They write stories, poems and essays. All that they write are not printed in the magazine. Only those which are good can be selected and printed. When their writings are printed, the students are very happy. Even though many whose writings are not selected try to write better so that next time they can see their writings in print.
There are many among the students who can write. Some of them have promises of becoming good writers in time. The school magazines encourage them and narure their talents. School magazines play an important role. Moreover, school magazines publish reports about the schools. These reports help us know about the achievemebts and problems of the school.

knowledgeispower
Early men were ignirant of many things. They did not understand anything about their world. Life itself was a riddle to them. They did not know why things happened. So they were helpless like any other animals. They lived in contant fear and moved from place to place in search of safe shelter.
But today we have learned a lot from their experiences . We are wisher now. We know a grate deal about our world, about nature and about things that happen around us. We are no longer helpless like our primitive forefathers. Our knowledge has helped us to tane the forces of nature and built our great civilization. This knowledge has made us the lord of the animal world. The more we know the more powerful we become.
after gaining mastery over everything in our world we are now preparing to be masters of the uneverse. we have already sent men into space. Our flights into space help us to know more and our knowledge appears to have made us more powerful.

onholidays
We all love to have holidays. While preparing our lessons everyday, attending our schools and doing homework, we sometimes fool tried and board. Holedays bring rest for us. So we are happy. Nobody reminds us of our lessons on holidayd\s and nobody wakes us up early in the morning. It is all fun and joy, and we are free to do whatever we like.
On holidays we go out visiting places of interest. Often we go to the countryside and spend the day sightseeing, away from the crowds of towns. on other days I play games with my friends or lie on the grass in my garden.
My pets are very happy on holidays, for they can play with me the whole day. My mother is also happy, because she has more time on holidays to prepare special dishes. So holidays bring joy for all. They are like sunny morning after the could nights.

History of my favourite subject. Tlive in the present is not all. We have to know about the past too, for our present comes from the past. If we do not know our past, it will be difficult or almost impossible to understand the present. This is why I am very much interested in the past.
I read history, because it helps me to know about the past. History tells me the story about our civilization , how our ancestors lived and though and struggled. It is a wonderful experience. The world we are living in today was not built in a day. It took thousands of years to built it.
However I do not like to read about the kings and emperors alone. I am more interested in knowing about the people, about the common men and women. It is these people who built our civilization and made our world beautiful. They must have worked very hard and suffered a lot to make humabn society prosperous.

Football is my favourite game. It is a very popular game all over the world. Football players like Pele of Brazil, Lev Yasin of Russia and Maradona of Arzentina, are lived and wirshipped everywhere. I never miss a football match on our television.
I do not like the way in which football is played in Nepal. The power football played in other countries is what I enjoy most. The teams that come to take part in the ANFA Cup Tournament put up a time display show of power football. I feel very excited to watch their matches. How strong and skilled their players are!
I like football because even the poorest can play this. Pele was born in very poor family, but nothing prevented him from being the best footballer in the world. When I play football with my friends I dream of playing like Pele. It is pity that i was born in Nepal where football has hardly any future.

Everybody dreams of being or doing something in his life. When we are studying in schools we only prepare ourselves for doing somethihg in future. Some of my friends dream of being engineers and some others doctors. I also have a dream. My dream is to become a doctor.
When I look around I find people suffering from many diseases. Many of them are very poor and can hardly afford to pay the doctor's fee, or to buy medicine. So they suffer silently. Even their children do not smile, beacause they are also sick and poor.
In many village, people have never seen a doctor. If I can become a doctor, I can try to help these people to live a better life. As a good citizen, it will be my duty to serve the suffering. Of course, I must earn my living. I hope my rich patients will always pay me enough; which would make it easier for me to treat the poor free of cost. I would also attach myself to a government hospital where I would spend a few free hours attending to those very poor patients.
